About Museum
The Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Museum (“the Museum”) is located on the first floor of the Central Building, adjacent to the Circular Meeting Room. It was designed by the students and faculties at the University. Officially opened in October 2014, the Museum covers a total of 400 square meters. It is designed to showcase XJTLU’s innovative approach to higher education development and employs state of the art, multimedia technology in order to provide an immersive and engaging experience to our visitors.
The XJTLU Museum is not a specific, singular museum space but an integration of campus culture with the museum exhibitions through the “Museum +” model where faculty, students, and community collaborate based on the concept of “the whole campus is a museum”.

1. University Culture Space
Following the concept of “the whole campus is a museum”, we transcend a single mode of thinking about specific space constraints.
X BAR
The X Bar on the Southern Campus is a place for dialogue, full of vitality and literary style, where you can enjoy peace while learning or participate in salons featuring leading figures in different industries.
XIPU SHOW
It aims to enable XJTLU members and visitors to get to know XJTLU better by scanning the campus of XJTLU with mobile technology. Detailed information about XJTLU and its buildings, scenery sites, cultural elements and more can be displayed directly on your mobile device.
2. Branding Events
Museum hold its branding events regularly to support students learning and teaching.
Kai Tan Le
The first season of the “Kai Tan Le” Culture Lecture series features 12 independent sessions about Suzhou Culture. Themed on “The Leading Museums”, the Second Season of XJTLU Museum Culture Lecture highlights gurus from renowned museums.
“W•E” Events
This events aim to have an exploration of the wisdom of the minds. W•E Talks, W•E Musicale and W•E Salon are its sub-series events held in X Bar.
TEDxXJTLU Conference
TEDxXJTLU was approved by the TED official headquarters on March 7, 2019, initiated by XJTLU museum staff, independent non-profit volunteer organization operated by teachers and students, a very energetic incubator for ideas, creativity and innovation.
3. Exhibitions
Special themed exhibitions are organised by museum regularly.
4. Creative Cultural Product
Museum is dedicate to create more cultural products reflect our university culture.
Student Narrator Group
XJTLU Museum has officially established a student narrator group in April 2016.The Narrator Group is committed to providing vivid guide service to enable visitors to know better about the practice and achievements of the university. The narrator group regularly recruits new members. You can find more detail information via University Communications Mail, Museum official Weibo and WeChat.

OPENING HOURS:
9:00-17:00 (Monday to Friday)
The Museum is closed on public holidays and university closed days. For summer and winter holidays, the opening hours will be announced by university email and posted at the entrance of the Museum.
