It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the School of Internet of Things (IoT), XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang). Today more than ever, IoT is a driving force for technological revolution and industrial transformation worldwide and is a crucial engine for economic, social, ecological, intelligent, and sustainable development.

IoT is a multidisciplinary discipline that spans many areas of engineering and computer science. It is the driving force behind the digital transformation of society and the world. Practically, IoT encompasses networks and devices that typically contain software and hardware such as electronics and sensors.

The School focuses on the research and development of technologies supporting the design, development, and deployment of systems that use IoT. These technologies mostly feature devices that can be embedded into existing network infrastructures. Supporting these devices becomes possible through the development and use of software that is functional, efficient, pervasive, and aligned with the appropriate protocols

Our industry-led research is underpinned by our entrepreneurial ethos that is central to the School’s activities. Academic staff work closely with our industrial partners, developing academic programmes and research projects that focus on applied Io’T solutions and commercialisation opportunities.
