MEMBER OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF CPC COMMITTEE AND THE ASSISTANT PRESIDENT, XI'AN JIAOTONG UNIVERSITY

Professor Jun Hong is a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Committee and the Assistant President of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). He is responsible for the Party and government work, security and stability, development of the West China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor, operational assets, and independent corporate research institutes. Professor Hong received his PhD in engineering in 2001 and has a rich technology and management background in the field of Higher Education. In 2005, Professor Hong was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province and the First Prize of Science and Technology Development of Shanghai. In the same year, he joined the “New Century Excellent Talent Support Program” of the Ministry of Education. In 2013, he won the Second Prize of National Award for Technology Invention. In 2015, he joined the “Yangtze River Scholars Award Program” launched by the Ministry of Education. Professor Hong is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Group and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the China Mechanical Engineering Society, the Director of the Mechanical Automation Branch of the China Mechanical Engineering Society, and the Executive Vice Chairman of the Xi'an Mechanical Engineering Society.
