Library Facility Guide

Printers, Photocopiers and Scanners are available on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of the Library for both XJTLU students and staff. Instructions on the multifunctional printers are posted on the walls to help users to get their printing/photocopying/scanning jobs done efficiently. For any printer problems, please contact the IT Service Desk on the 4th floor in the Library.

Group study room can be booked through Group Study Room Booking Machine on the 1st floor of the library. This machine is limited to room booking within 7 Days. Group Study Room Booking System (http://10.7.0.242:8080/Clientweb/xcus/IC2/default.aspx) also provides another option for students and staff to book the room.

Library Information Commons are located on the 4th and 5th floor of XJTLU Library. There are 174 Lenovo computers and 53 Apple computers.

Self-borrowing and returning machines are located on the 1st, 4th and 8th floor of the Library. 24-hour easy return machine is located on the 1st floor. Users can check out library materials quickly and easily by themselves. For some items like CD, DVD and oversize books can’t be returned or borrowed through the machine, please go to library service counter.

The E-lockers are located on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th floor for users at XJTLU to temporarily store their personal belongings during library opening hour. For safety concern, please don’t leave your valuables here, e.g. Laptops, IPads, phones etc. Any personal items left in the E locker after Closing Hours will be taken to the Library Service Counter without notification. Librarians shall neither be responsible for the safekeeping of any item found in the locker nor be liable for any loss or damage in connection therewith.

Library offers a service of e-books reading on the 3rd floor. After the App from the Gerd Reading Terminal is downloaded, books could then be downloaded in the mobile and could only be accessed through the app. The Library has paid for the books so there would be no problem with the copyright.

Library Information Checking Computers are located on 1st, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th floor. These computers can help users to check library layout, use Library OPAC system and Discovery system, read Library news and other information.
